Nigeria 🇳🇬 is fast-tracking work on the 700km Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, a major project estimated to cost about $11 billion to $13 billion. The highway is being built with continuously reinforced concrete designed for coastal conditions. Construction is taking place across several states, with early sections in Lagos already open to traffic while paving and bridge work continues on other sections. The highway is expected to improve trade, tourism and transport links along Nigeria’s coast.
