The cargo ship Mayuree Naree, owned by Precious Shipping, was struck shortly after passing through the Strait of Hormuz at around 11:10 AM (Thailand time) on March 11, 2026.
• Explosions occurred near the stern and engine room, causing a serious fire.
• The vessel had 23 crew members, all Thai nationals.
• 20 crew members evacuated using liferafts and were rescued by the Royal Navy of Oman, then safely brought to Khasab.
• 3 crew members remain on board, and rescue forces are continuing efforts to assist them.
The Royal Thai Navy is coordinating with the Combined Maritime Forces, along with Thai embassies in Oman, United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain to support the rescue operation.
