The victims were rescued between October 31 and November 2, 2026, around Millennium City and Marabar Rido in Chikun Local Government Area of the state, in collaboration with the Kaduna State Government. Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Rabiu, disclosed the development during a press conference at the DSS Command Headquarters in Kaduna, describing the operation as part of sustained efforts to dismantle criminal networks responsible for recurring abductions in the area. The rescued victims include Jamila Muhammad, 27; Talatu Yakubu, 40; Yunana Bawa, 30; Calista Bishop, 27; Chidinma Onuwere, 36; Eucharia Obi, 41; Godiya Victor, 50; and eight-year-old Miracle Alex. Rabiu noted that the latest breakthrough comes weeks after security operatives rescued Ahmad Zakka and members of his family on October 15, 2026, demonstrating continued efforts to track down kidnappers and secure the release of abducted residents. He commended ONSA for strategic coordination, the police for operational support, the DSS for intelligence-driven operations and the military for its contributions. The commissioner also acknowledged the support of the Kaduna State Government under Governor Uba Sani, describing the coordinated efforts as part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to strengthening national security. Rabiu urged residents, traditional rulers and community leaders to remain vigilant and provide credible information that could assist security agencies in identifying and apprehending criminal elements. He assured the public that information provided would be treated confidentially while appealing to media organisations to avoid spreading unverified reports capable of compromising security operations or creating unnecessary panic. The latest rescue represents another coordinated security operation targeting kidnapping networks operating around Millennium City and neighbouring communities in Kaduna State.
