Breakin: Nigeria’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by 4.43% year-on-year in real terms in the second quarter of 2026, up from the 4.23% recorded in the corresponding quarter of 2025, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). The latest growth figure represents a 0.20 percentage-point increase compared with the same quarter last year, indicating a modest strengthening in economic activity. According to the NBS, the agricultural sector recorded stronger growth during the quarter, while services also expanded. However, industrial growth slowed significantly compared with the corresponding period in 2025.
