Dangote refinery: Rising petrol imports forcing us to export excess products The Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals (DPRP) says rising imports of premium motor spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, are forcing it to export surplus products despite having the capacity to meet Nigeria’s domestic demand. In a statement on Wednesday, the refinery said continued issuance of petrol import licences has made it increasingly difficult to plan production and manage inventory, as imported products continue to compete with locally refined fuel.
